Parties and scope

These terms form an agreement between Kempt & Stone, hereinafter referred to as we or us, and the client named on the service booking, referred to as you. Our work consists strictly of the professional cleaning, honing, washing, and conditioning of internal and architectural surfaces as specified in the agreed job estimate.

Booking and quotes

All written estimates remain valid for thirty days from the date of issue. An estimate becomes a confirmed booking once both parties agree on an arrival date by email or phone. We reserve the right to amend the scope and price if site conditions differ substantially from details or photographs provided during initial enquiries.

Performance of the work and access to the premises

You agree to provide safe access to the designated rooms, a continuous supply of clean cold water, and working domestic electricity. Our team will take reasonable care to mask and protect adjacent finishes. You are responsible for moving valuable ornaments, fragile antiques, and small electronics out of the work area before our arrival.

Prices, payment after completion and invoices

Payment is due upon completion of the work on the day of the visit. We accept settlement either in cash on completion or via bank transfer against our written invoice. We do not provide credit terms to domestic clients unless agreed in writing beforehand.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge provided you give at least twenty-four hours notice. Cancellations made with less than twenty-four hours notice, or instances where our team cannot gain access at the agreed time, may incur a fifty pound call-out charge to offset travel and schedule disruption.

Liability, insurance and complaints

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance covering up to five million pounds for work on your premises. We cannot accept liability for pre-existing structural flaws, unstable mortar, loose tiles, or dry rot beneath carpets. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the finished surface, you must notify us within forty-eight hours so we can inspect and rectify the matter.

Governing law

These terms of service and any contract entered into with Kempt & Stone are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
